The Anne Fraser Theatre Dance Company is the creative brainchild of choreographer Anne Fraser. Now regarded as a centre of excellence, its success is due to the many years of dedicated and committed hard work by Anne, her creative team and the many people who have been part of this incredible journey.
Anne has brought her wealth of experience in theatre/film production, performance, dance, athletics and gymnastics together under one umbrella and allows her the freedom to train her dancers to a high level of technical ability, creative expression and physical fitness. Whether this is in the class environment, Performance or at Major Examination level this enhanced process of development, combined with her trademark creativity and attention to detail, enable her to develop the physical, mental and artistic performers capable of interpreting and giving life to her powerful choreography.
From the beginning students are encouraged and trained to find the best of them. To dig deep and unleash the creative powers that we all possess, but not all find. Dance is a wonderful art form. Movement and rhythm are a fundamental part of the human body. As a choreographer Anne harnesses the body’s mental and physical powers and works closely with her dancers to create the highly professional and original works for which she and the Company are renowned.
With high calibre senior performers and a creative team of the highest quality, the Company is now working to fulfil its next goal that of a full-time professional company at the top. No matter how good the performer there are only limited worthwhile opportunities in the professional world. The new Company will allow those who wish to pursue a professional career the chance to work with Anne in a separate mature extension to the creative process. The professional company will give them fulfilment for their years of committed hard work and is an exciting addition to the major performance work already in the pipeline for the Company’s students.
